Since it’s foundation Livin’ Dred have produced numerous professional productions, Beauty Queen of Leenane (Irish Times Theatre Award Nomination 2004), Tale of the Blue Eyed Cat, Belfry (Irish Times Theatre Award nomination 2005), The Snow Child, The Little Dance Girl, The Tinkers Curse, Conversations on a Homecoming (Both nominated for an Irish Times Theatre Award) The Children of Lir, Shoot The Crow, A Christmas Carol, The Good Father, The Dead School, There Came A Gypsy Riding and Observe The Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme (Winner of best set design Award at the Irish Times Theatre Awards 2010), The Ballad of Pat McNab and Trad (nominated for two Irish Times Theatre Awards).
Livin’ Dred was a founder member of NOMAD the North Midlands Arts Development and produced three productions in association with the network Conversations on a Homecoming, The Dead School and Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme. Livin’ Dred / NOMAD’s production of The Dead School by Pat McCabe was regarded as one of the most theatrical highlights of 2008 and was nominated for three Irish Times Theatre Awards including Best Production. It was revived for a three week sell – out run at the Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival last September 2009 and went on to run at The Tricycle Theatre in London to rave reviews in February / March of that year. Other recent productions include Ride On! by Seamus O’Rourke.
